PADA: Thanks S***** dasa. I get letters all the time from people who say they are so glad I got them out of the dark forest of bad managers of the GBC. Some of them have cried to me thankfully, hugged me, and all that. Some of them say I saved their lives and so forth. And I get such messages on a regular basis.
Yes, that is very satisfying, they now say, since they are the path of worship of the pure devotee, they feel enlivened for the first time in years and so forth. So it all depends on who you ask if my work is pleasing or not, some people love it. OK, some hate it, true enough.
As Bhakti Vikas swami said to me, everyone has heard about the PADA program. So whether people like it or not, its available for those who want and need it, and some do.
When Srila Prabhupada gave me the name Puranjana, I asked, what does this mean? He said, "you will find out everything later." Later on the 4th Canto was printed, and I read the story of King Puranjana over and over, and I kept getting to the part where, when the spiritual master departs, there is all kinds of chaos in the name of bogus swamis, yogis and avataras, and the sincere devotees will have to rectify that. So I was very worried even in 1974, he will depart, there will be chaos, and I will be in the middle of that chaos because, ok that is the name I got. And so I "would find out everything later," that there will be chaos, that this prediction is true and so on.
So I kept asking, is there any other devotee named Puranjan, since I do not want to be the only person in the middle of all this chaos? Well, nope. So when Prabhupada departed, there was chaos. And so the GBC offered to make me the guru of Ireland if I would work with them. Nope. Not my job. Puranjana is exposing and correcting the chaos, that's his job. And I could have been killed doing it, as you may or may not know. However I never worried because it was my karma to have this job. Many of my God brothers are now dead barely at 60 years old, as you may know, and to my mind that is because they failed to defend their guru and His mission, and they became depressed and it killed them.
So I have my karma and you have yours, that is all there is to it. I am not against what you are doing, but the task I am doing was given to me, to correct the chaos in the name of bogus gurus, and I am doing it. And Brahmananda told me the only reason I am alive is because the leaders know that taking me out will bring down the Federal authorities upon their heads, otherwise, I would have been dead a long time ago. I feel greatly enlivened doing what I am doing, and I feel Krishna and Srila Prabhupada's presence, that's all I ever wanted and that is what I am having. No one can take that from me, no matter what. ys pd
