OK a lot of people do not know that Tamal Krishna swami was trying to hi-jack Vishnujana's preaching program, busses and people, and incorporate that into Radha Damodara program, and that Vishnujana reported that was "very depressed" that his preaching program was always under attack like this.
He was unable to perform his preaching service due to constant Tamal attacks, and so he may have decided why bother, might as well get a wife and retreat from preaching. Tamal was also the last person to see him alive, his suicide has never been verifiied, its basically Tamal's version of events.
The same thing happened to Gopijanaballabha swami, he blew out his brains after talking to Tamal. Vrajendrananda tried to kill himself after talking to Tamal, and there are no doubt others who did the same thing. Tamal was for that matter hi-jacking people out of the temples, so Srila Prabhupada said he wanted to send Tamal to China. The Vishnujana story in sum has another dimension to it, and he was one of my favorite devotees so I do not like to see him cast as a sort of fallen person -- when there are other factors that lead to his depression. ys pd
