At Least Pundarikaksam dasa Made It To Vrndavana

Pundarikaksam das, a disciple of Srila Prabhupada from the USA, is terminally ill in the Bhaktivedanta Hospice in Vrindavan. The doctors have given him 2 months to live.

[PADA: OK good, at least a select few original Srila Prabhupada disciples are getting some Hospice care in Vrndavana while they are dying. Its great to see that is happening -- for at least a few of us, so we give credit where its due. However, it seems most of the original disciples are dying in isolated situations in the West, that is -- if any of the rest of the devotees even know about their departures?

Is anyone keeping records? Is there any web site that is showing who is left, who has gone, and so on? We are in any case very happy this devotee was able to make it to Vrndavana, may he get the blessings and mercy of Krishna there.

We have some Christian friends and they keep elaborate track of every single person in their program. They know who had a baby today, whose grand mother is sick and in the hospital today, who died today, in short they know the status and whereabouts of every single member, because they care for the well being and welfare of their members. They also have a food warehouse for members who are down on their luck, a list of people with special skills in case you are broke and need some repairs etc., in sum -- we could learn a lot about basic human compassion and helping our fellow God brothers and sisters from these people. ys pd]

  1. Christians are rather "earthed" whereas modern Vaishnavas are folks who are "uprooted", scorpionic. Scorpionic people are not interested in friendship. As soon they live together like in a temple there is rank order, hierarchy, pick so's brain, subjugation, to show you up, to bring you low, etc. Like that. Never there is any friendship. If you have a problem with this deflating procedure, right, you rather have to join Christians.

  3. Hare Krsna Anonymous Prabhu or Mataji.
All Glories to His Divine Grace, A.C. Bhakitvedanta Swami Srila Prabhupada.
All Glories to th Real Prabhupadanugas.

Dear Prabhu, Pada Prabhu did not lose the perspective of reality, He is right, I don't know were you live Prabhu or mataji, but here in the west, their is no care for devotees!!!
We can learn a lot from the Christians, what basic human compassion is and helping their godbrothers and sisters and also the paupers.
Here were I live all doors are closed for people who accepted A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Srila Prabhupada as their only shelter.
Everyone has his own group, try to think of this Prabhu, Srila Prabhupada thaught us, even if a enemy is at your door, you have to give him a suitable place to sit or something to drink. At least she( or in my case) she can go home with a peaceful heart.
Preaching is very easy Prabhu, but do the devotees bring this in pratice? Answer NO!!!
There are few who understood A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Srila Prabhupada.
My neigbhor is a muslima with a little child, because her husband left her, but she never refuse prasadam, and that is all due to the mercy of Srila Prabhupada, She also speaks of Lord Krsna, and when I don't have time she walks with her little baby to purchase flowers and errands for Srila Prabhupada.
She doesn't were tilak and kanthimala, but she knows how important it is for me to have flowers for Srila Prabhupada.
Srila Prabhupada gave His mercy to everyone, not only for vaisnavas.
Vaisnavas have never time to do something for you, because they think they are one the highest level and everyone must serve them. Diska is just the beginning of spiritual life.
Please Prabhu, maybe You are in very advanced in transcendental knowlegde, I'm just a beginner, I'm crawling. I have question for You Prabhu, what name will you give this muslima, who is doing so much service for Srila Prabhupada?
And I totally agree, with PADA Prabhu.
    No heart feelings Prabhu.
    Hare Krsna.
All Glories to His Divine Grace, A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Srila Prabhupada.
All Glories to Sri Sri NitaiGauranga.
All Glories to the real Prabhupadanugas.
    Always Your servant,

  4. Dear Mattaji, please accept my respectful obeisances. All glories to Srila Prabhupada. I agree with you and Pada. That's why I, also, support Pada's sincere commitment to glorify Srila Prabhupada. But, please allow me to present to you the following quote so that you may understand what I meant when I said, "let us not lose the perspective of reality".

    Yasyasti bhaktir bhagavati akincana
    Sarvair gunais tatra samasate surah
    Harav abhaktasya kuto mahad-guna
    Manorathenasati dhavato bahih

    Synonyms
Yasya--of whom; asti--there is; bhakti--devotional service; bhagavati--to the Supreme Personality of Godhead; akincana--without any motive; sarvaih--with all; gunaih--good qualities; tatra--there (in that person); samasate--reside; surah--all the demigods; harau--unto the Supreme Personality of Godhead; abhaktasya--of a person who is not devoted; kutah--where; mahat-gunah--good qualities; manorathena--by mental speculation; asati--in the temporary material world; dhavatah--who is running; bahih--outside.

    Translation
All the demigods and their exalted quallities, such as, religion, knowledge and renunciation, become manifest in the body of one who has developed unalloyed devotion for the Supreme Personality of Godhead, Vasudeva. On the other hand, a person devoid of devotional sevice and engaged in material activities has no good qualities. Even if he is adept at the practice of mistic yoga or the honest endeavor of maintaining his family and relatives, he must be driven by his own mental speculations and must engage in the service of the Lord's external energy. How can there be any good qualities in such a man? Srimad- bhagavatam. 5.18.12

Please, refer also, if you will, to Srila Prabhupada's purport to this verse. It is, dear Mattaji, within that context that I made my comment to this post. By the way, I'm just someone who is trying to have the privilege of becoming a servant of the vaisnavas, such as your good self and Pada. Again, may your grace and Pada accept my most respectful and humble obeisances. All glories to Srila Prabhupada! All glories to Sri-Sri Gaura-Nitai! Hare Krsna!

  5. Hare Krsna Dear Prabhu.
All Glories to His Divine Grace, A.C. Bhakitvedanta Swami Srila Prabhupada.
Please accept my most fallen and humble obeisances.

Dear Prabhu, please forgive this fallen soul, I misunderstood You.
I hope You will accept my apologies, I made a mistake.
Thank You that You clearly explain it to me.
With folded hands bowing down to You, please accept my most fallen and humble obeisances.
I'm also trying to become a servant of the servant of His Divine Grace, A.C. Bhakitvedanta Swami Srila Prabhupada Dear Prabhu.
And I'm a supporter of PADA Prabhu, and please no heartfeelings Prabhu.
PADA Prabhu and Mahesh Raja Prabhu gave us so much, that we will not be able to pay Them back in this life time.
He opened our eyes with Mahesh Raja Prabhu, together, they gave us so much transcendental knowledge to go on further with our spiritual life. Otherwise we mataji's would wander like a lost souls and had no place to go, because we were kicked out from all the temples and Nama Hatta's because we accepted His Divine Grace, A.C. Bhaktivedanta swami Srila Prabhupada as our Diksa and Siksa Guru.
    Hare Krsna Dear Prabhu.
All Glories to His Divine Grace, A.C.Bhakitvedanta Swami Srila Prabhupada.
All Glories to Sri Sri NitaiGauracandara.
All Glories to the real Prabhupadanugas.

  6. Hare Krsna Dear Prabhu.
All Glories to His Divine Grace, A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Srila Prabhupada.
Please accept my most fallen and humble obeisances.

Dear Prabhu, I'm very sorry, but something came up,I couldn't finish my comment.
I asked You my forgiveness, but still I totally agree with PADA Prabhu.
This Muslima mataji, she is also doing some service for Srila Prabhupada, and it will never go in vain.
I heard in a lecture of Srila Prabhupada, that only pious souls can utter the name of Lord Krsna. She is also part and parcel of the Supreme Personality of Godhead Lord Krsna, and if she keeps talking about Lord Krsna and Srila Prabhupada, she will become someday a devotee of Lord Krsna(she is, but she doesn't know it). I can't close my door for her Dear Prabhu, she has a little baby, and I have a weakness for children, he is also eating prasadam, shouldn't we have compassion for them Dear Prabhu?
Is that not true Dear Prabhu? I taught You was criticizing PADA Prabhu, that is why I made that comment.
Is a vaisnava not Para dukha dukhi or is it now para dukha sukhi?
Maybe You are familiar with the Maslow theory, that if people are hungry and You help them, with prasadam and give them beside that, also transcendental knowledge, they will keep coming and will glorify the Supreme Personality of Godhead Lord Krsna and Srila Prabhupada. Srila Prabhupada has said;" Krsnaconsciousness is dormant in every living beings heart".
I'm not attacking You Dear Prabhu, but in this short life, I have seen so many terrible things, that You must have a heart of steel to digest it.
I have read Srila Prabhupada's Purport, but how about the so-called Guru's, do they have the Divine Qualitys of the Demi-Gods?
Please Dear Prabhu, You are advanced, will You be kind enough to enlighten me on this subject matter.
Here in the west the vaisnavas doors are closed Dear Prabhu, it is open only for those devotees they love and cherish.
Please forgive me, if I made offenses at Your Lotus Feet.
    Hare Krsna.

All glories to Srila Prabhupada! All glories to Sri-Sri Nitai-Gauranga! Hare Krsna!

  8. I am glad he made it to Vrndavana. He was stuck in a nursing home for some time. Just see how Krishna picked Him up and gave him this facility! Pundarika prabhu did so much service and the Lord did not forget him.
