Akshaya Patra to expand to more States?
Akshaya Patra provides mid-day meals to school children in 20 locations across India and with the central and state governments in 9 states such as Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Assam, Chhattisgarh, Gujarat, Orissa, Rajasthan, Tamil Nadu and Uttar Pradesh, with the motive that "No child in India shall be deprived of education because of hunger.”

Images of deities on beer bottles irk Hindus
Hindus are upset over having images of their deities Ganesh and Lakshmi pasted on beer bottles by an Australian brewery, calling it highly inappropriate.
Hindu leader Rajan Zed said in a statement here Saturday that inappropriate usage of Hindu deities or concepts or symbols for commercial use was not acceptable because it hurt the sentiments of the devotees.
