Pope Defrocks Over 400 Deviant Priests

http://bigstory.ap.org/article/apnewsbreak-pope-defrocks-400-priests-2-years

[PADA: This is certainly a big problem in just about in every religion it seems. There are bogus Hindu God men who are sexual predators, Christian priests who are the same, and so on and so forth. This is one reason the mass of people today have such little faith in organized religions, these religions tend to stagnate and deteriorate into allowing more and more bad elements in, while removing the people who are more pure. That is what happened in ISKCON, the bad guys increased, then they brought in more and more criminals and predators, and they kept removing most of the "good behaving" people who were protesting the bad elements. At least the Christian Church is making some attempt to remedy this and they should be given credit for making such an attempt. We need to do the same thing. ys pd]

If you think so Puranjana dasa, you should read the below
and get a 2nd opinion from this person - Kirsten Sandberg,
chairwoman of the 18-strong U.N. committee for child
protection. She has a different opinion on the matter.

And if you are serious about your concern on child abuse
in Iskcon and want to do something about it, you should
contact her and see what she says, instead of just continually
talking about it as you have done for the past 30 years.

" United Nations child protection experts pushed Vatican
delegates on Thursday to reveal the scope of the decades
-long sexual abuse of minors by Roman Catholic priests
that Pope Francis called “the shame of the Church”.

The delegates, answering questions from an international
rights panel for the first time since the scandals broke more
than two decades ago, denied allegations of a Vatican cover-up
and said it had set clear guidelines to protect children from
    predator priests.

But members of the U.N. Committee on the Rights of the Child,
and abuse victims attending the session in Geneva, demanded
far more transparency on crimes that have rocked the Church,
from the United States to Europe and Australia.

“The best way to prevent abuses is to reveal old ones – openness
instead of sweeping offences under the carpet,” Kirsten Sandberg,
chairwoman of the 18-strong U.N. committee, told the Vatican
    delegation.

“It seems to date your procedures are not very transparent.” ..........."

  2. Pope Defrocks Over 400 Deviant Priests - this is not about the crime falsely posing as God's direct representative. Lord Jesus stands firmly as God's representative of 1,5 bn Christians. To compare fallen diksha gurus of present Vaishnava institutions with fallen Christian priests is rather inappropriate, unreasonably dangerous, inadequate. Dangerous because it is a belittlement. Fallen diksha gurus, falsely posing as God's direct representative kills a religion. It turns a religion into absurdity. Whereas fallen priests can be easily straightened out. Blame rests upon those priests and not on the religion. Therefore, once and for all, Christianity won and present Vaishnava institutions are out. There are still a few who didnt realize.

  3. HARE KRSNA--In your article you said that The Catholic Church should get credit for defrocking the deviant sex-fiend priests.Sure--Ok.However,my understanding is that Pope Benidict SPENT HIS ENTIRE CAREER PROTECTING THESE SCUMBAGS.He would ensure that the molested were offered BIG hush $$$$$---then just send the molesters to new churches where they could continue to indulge their sick desires. The purge--the defrockings--they are only the result of tens of thousands of police complaints that where threatening to really shake up the church---cost them real $$$$$.So the hero Benidict fired the worst of worst--then retired alive (not done in the Catholic Church for like the last 500 years)--he supposedly stepped down because lawsuits were being prepared against him and the church due to his lifetime of enabling those perverts. So by stepping down & getting a nice new face for the church (Francis),this sort of derailed the lawsuits somehow.I'm not a lawyer,I'm not sure of how the law works, esp.against The Vatican.Anyways, the facts are out there and yes, firing 400 child rapists looks GREAT---but it is not really great. They should have cleaned house long, long ago--or fired like maybe 10,000--20,000 + rapists. ALL GLORIES TO HIS DIVINE GRACE A.C.BHAKTIVEDANTA SWAMI PRABHUPADA!

  4. Thanks Devaki and Wyatt, I agree, the Catholic Church has probably only skimmed the surface of the real problem. However, some start is better than none, that's all I am saying. And now that the Church has done all this big publicity, anyone in the rank and file congregation would be foolish to leave their children unattended nowadays.

Its a red flag -- that this problem is so pervasive, even the Popes are admitting. Attention!!! There is a problem over here. In that sense its good since -- its a warning flag, so congregation people can take advice from this and keep a better watch on their kids, and hopefully they will now report things to the police more timely if there is an incident, now that they are aware of this issue.

As for ISKCON, after we alerted people there was a huge problem, most of the schools were shut down. Simply stated, almost everyone withdrew their kids, hardly any people are sending their kids to the hands of the GBC gurus anymore. So we saved maybe 100s of more kids from getting into the GBC's program's clutches. Of course there are some idiots who think saving 100s of children was a bad idea, but most folks agree -- we had to alert people to the crisis and this saved a lot more victims from falling into the "guru program" pit. -- Which is another reason I am not a big fan of these gurus .... ys pd
