Children's Sunday School (Sunnyvale)

Sunday School for Children

Sunday Gurukul School is formed with an idea of teaching young kids at their very early age the importance of spirituality in one's life. It is said in the scripture Srimad-Bhagavatam that right from the very young age, children have to be raised and trained in spiritual knowledge. We have ways and means to make the content fun and interesting to the kids and the kids will want to keep coming every time. Our teachers have very high qualification necessary for understanding and teaching these spiritual topics. The idea is to inculcate the rich spiritual heritage of India (with messages from Bhagavad-Gita and Srimad-Bhagavatam) into the children so that they can have fun at the same time learn the most important spiritual knowledge to enable them lead a meaningful life.

We have several classes in our school. Kids from 3-5 years, 6-8 and 9-11 years. Content is specially designed by our experienced devotee professionals and well acclaimed by all parents. For more information, please contact info@kbmandir.org. For seeing a sample curriculum copy, please visit our temple.

Your concern as a parent:
How do I give the best to my child?
How do I protect my child from bad influences?
What can help me facilitate all round growth of my child so he blossoms into a balanced individual?
How can I help my child appreciate and imbibe India’s ancient Vedic values and culture?
How can I find time for my child out of my busy schedule?
If any of these are your concerns, then India Heritage Foundation’s Sunday School is meant just for you and your child.

The purpose of Sunday school is to enhance the Krishna consciousness and spiritual development of the children who regularly attend the Sunday Feast program.

Quotation from Srila Prabhupada, :
“Yes, the proof of your teaching method shall be seen in the spiritual improvement and fresh enthusiasm exhibited by the children.” (Letter to Stoka Krishna, 6/13/72)

The temple president and/or congregational development department organize Sunday school. Apart from students the Sunday school engages the congregation by bringing parents to the temple on a regular basis. It gives a start to the next generation and helps the parents enjoy the Sunday lecture. The Sunday school program is divided into age groups according to the number of children and the facilities available. Following are the groups:
Damodara Class for 3 to 5 years old
Madhava Class for 6 to 8 year old
Gopala Class for 9 to 11 year old
