Every year during this time, i.e., when Lord Krishna Spoke Bhagavad Gita to Arjuna (Gita Jayanti) we would be conducting a Srila Prabhupada’s Book Marathon, basically to distribute his divine grace transcendental literatures. This year we had started Book Marathon on December 5th 2015 and it will be ending on 31st January 2016. We request you to take as many books as possible and distribute.
The Gita mahatmya says,"One who, with respect and devotion and according to scriptural regulations makes a gift of this holy book, the Gita, such a person will have a devoted wife, and without doubt will attain fame, fortune, and good health".
Lord Krishna says in the Gita after concluding his instructions to Arjuna as follows: “For one who explains the supreme secret to the devotees, devotional service is guaranteed, and at the end he will come back to Me. There is no servant in this world more dear to Me than he, nor will there ever be one more dear.” So if we want to become a dear person to Lord Krishna and reach his abode, we can help reach out this knowledge to those who don’t have it.
Srila Prabhupada says “My ambition is to spread these books far and wide all over the world so that everyone shall read at least one of our books and that will change his life. If only 1 % become devotees, that will change the world.” - SPL to Karandhara, 2nd May, 1972
In this month our temple is distributing Bhagavad Gita’s at a Special price of Rs. 150 and it is available in various languages. It is very auspicious to distribute Bhagavad Gita in the month of Gita Jayanti. So we are requesting you to take the books for yourself and for distribution. You may consider gifting Srila Prabhupada’s books to your friends or relatives or to those who are in need.
