My spiritual master is Srila Prabhupada ... I associate with this perfect sadhu through his books, lectures & sincere devotees who has no double standard when they obey sastra. I am so fortunate to be able to be in my guru maharaja's association whenever and anywhere..
He is first class devotee & shown qualities of first class devotees ... He didn't need to take on the role of second class devotee to show his humbleness to preach ... He is still meek, humble, honest & compassionate while preaching as first class devotee...
He has no dis-integrity, businesses, no investments for personal gains, didn't use temple money for luxury accommodation & fancy car exclusively for family members while other devotees stay in simple ashram, no throwing full time devotees out of temple with no shelter & facilities on the spot, didn't use class lectures as personal political gain. My spiritual master & sadhu I associated with protects women, he detached from family engagement once he changed into saffron to show the correct practice and not practice in disguise.

He didn't stop association outside temple for devotees who didn't stay in temple, he didn't ask his disciples to call police to stop sankirtan, he didn't create obstacles for prasadam distribution, he rendered help to those who knowingly or unknowingly offended him. He never used devotees & discarded them like old clothing. He managed in a way so the mass devotees would not leave the temple when he left his body.
He did not want loosing tons of sincere devotees (who still obey his instructions & preach on their own after leaving the temples for 20 years). He certainly didn't blasphemy devotees who dedicated their lives (especially those who are thrown out or leave the temple) for propagating the holy name of the Lord at their capacity & ability. And he didn't ask anyone to build a new Iskcon to counter old Iskcon......
He also doesn't want a new new Iskcon to counter former Iskcon. He only asked for straight forward dealings & managing, no need built a big empire. He received ultimate respect & trust without earning or demand for it! Cannot imitate pure devotee.
Eternally a spiritual guru and sadhu, I choose to hang around with is Srila Prabhupada. He won't teach me or any of his disciples hanky panky stuff, that I am very sure of. He didn't teach his disciples to fight but just be truthful!! When one is truthful, no need to fight. People are afraid of the truth. Truth hurts.

How can one gain real Spiritual Knowledge ?
Srila Prabhupada....."These are Vedic instructions. One must have full faith in the words of the spiritual master and similar faith in the Supreme Personality of Godhead. Then the real knowledge of ātmā and Paramātmā and the distinction between matter and spirit will be automatically revealed. This ātma-tattva, or spiritual knowledge, will be revealed within the core of a devotee’s heart because of his having taken shelter of the lotus feet of a mahājana such as Prahlāda Mahārāja. SB 6.23 Purport

[PADA: Yep. The tide is turning, more folks want to worship the pure devotee and not another GBC Bellvue Jesus. More devotees are writing us personally to tell us they are on board with our Prabhupadanuga process. Goody! I have purposefully witheld the name of this writer due to the tendency of such folks to be beaten with broomsticks around ISKCON circles. ys pd]
